GET /catpay/ · 200 OK

The only endpoint
that pays in meow.

Robinhood's real API has a hidden page: /catpay/. Ask it anything and it answers meow!. Nobody knows why it exists. So the community turned the joke into a coin.

GET https://api.robinhood.com/catpay/
Proof

Don't trust us. Run it.

Copy a line. Paste it in your terminal. Press enter. You'll see the meow with your own eyes, straight from Robinhood's servers.

$ curl https://api.robinhood.com/catpay/ {"message":"meow!"}
$ curl https://api.robinhood.com/marketdata/ meow
Why this matters. Most coins ask you to trust a story. This one you can check yourself in five seconds. The joke is real, and it lives on Robinhood's own servers.
Changelog

How a cat got into the API.

The company was almost called CashCat.

Before it was called Robinhood, the working name was CashCat. The cat was there from day one. It never really left.

/catpay/ starts answering "meow!"

Someone at Robinhood made a page that answers meow! to everything. Its sibling /marketdata/ just says meow. No announcement. No explanation. Just vibes.

The community mints the endpoint.

Robinhood launched its own chain. Days later someone found the meow, screenshotted it, and $CATPAY was born — a fan coin for a hidden joke.

You read the docs.

Which is more than most people do before aping. Respect.

Get to Robinhood Chain.

The cat lives on Robinhood Chain — Robinhood's own network, live since July 1, 2026. It's fast, it runs on plain ETH, and it's home of $CATPAY. Four steps and you're in. Every link below comes from the official docs.

// network profile — straight from the public chain registry { "chainName": "Robinhood Chain", "chainId": 4663, // 0x1237 "gas": "ETH", // no weird gas token "rpc": "rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com", "explorer": "robinhoodchain.blockscout.com", "stack": "Arbitrum Orbit · 100ms blocks · mainnet since 2026-07-01" }

Have ETH ready.

Any ETH works. You'll also pay fees in ETH once you're on Robinhood Chain, so bring a little extra.

Bridge it over.

Official route (~10 minutes): the Arbitrum bridge.

portal.arbitrum.io/bridge?destinationChain=robinhood-chain

Fast route (seconds): Across, Relay or Jumper — all officially listed partners.

Arrive on Robinhood Chain.

Your ETH shows up in about 10 minutes. You can watch it land on the chain's explorer. If something fails, your money isn't lost — you can claim it back within 7 days.

Swap for $CATPAY.

Copy the contract address from Get started, paste it in the swap, done. Always check the address — never trust just the name.

Stay safe. Type bridge URLs yourself or use the links above. Anyone DMing you a "faster bridge" is fishing. The cat does not DM first.
